A truck before it's time.

I just noticed it even has the auxiliary fuel tank that’s filled through the front fender.

I often wonder how long they could’ve survived if they hadn’t relied on tractor dealers as their distribution network. They actually had some innovative vehicles.

Hate to say it, but those things weren’t very good even back then. Some people latched on to them because they were different but they were built like shit, drove/rode like shit, and rusted even faster than Fords of the day.

could do a lot worse

The hat holder in the headliner is a nice touch.

It certainly seems to be a fitting addition.

The rust scares me, but it’s definitely cool.

This is uncomfortably close to me. Fortunately, we probably won’t get our stimulus check in time for me to make bad decisions.
Can you do body repairs using only that Flex Paste stuff?

Well, considering I’m also an AMC fan, I don’t think the fact that it’s objectively terrible would deter me at all.

That’s a similar line of thought to mine. Was it good at the time? No!
Is it cool as hell now? Yes!
Plus these guys are about 20 minutes from me for any parts needs.

Flex paste might be stronger than the original body work. The company I listed in a previous response to you actually makes and sells patch panels for it though.

Thankfully it’s too far away to actually consider. If it werent though there’s a specialty company about 20 minutes from me that sells patch panels.

They were objectively terrible for the time, but I really like the design. Other than being two wheel drive it would do almost everything I need from a truck. There’s also a company about 20 minutes from me that specializes in parts, including pieces for rust repair, for International vehicles.
Would I want it as a daily driver? Not without some major upgrades.
With some work though it would be a cool, unique cruiser/Lowe’s run vehicle.

I dunno, but I wish they survived longer.

These came from the factory with rust, embrace the rust!

For an International, it’s about spotless.
